Build Robby the Robot in 3D with Bryce

If you don't know who or what Robby the Robot is, he was the robot helper first featured on screens in the 1956 sci-fi movie, Forbidden Planet. The movie is also notable for starring Leslie Nielsen in one of his rare, early dramatic performances. Nielsen portrayed the Commander of the spaceship, Cruiser C-57D and later encounters Robby, along with his crew, on one of his missions to the planet Altair.

The movie is widely regarded in sci-fi circles and has become a cult hit over the years. It stands out above the rest of the run-of-the-mill 1950's sci-fi movies because of a great story (it's based loosely on Shakespeare's The Tempest), a great cast (Walter Pidgeon and Anne Francis also star) and great special effects for the era, created by Disney.

If you have never seen Forbidden Planet before and would like to, you can see the entire movie uninterrupted for free at Flash-Candy.com in high quality. You don't have to download anything and you rarely have to wait for it to buffer.
